Workshop Facilitator
Award winning journalist and author Marion Scher has been one of South Africa's top freelance journalists for the last 23 years. Until 2008 she was Head of Journalism Studies at Damelin, Bramley and is an editorial trainer for the Magazine Publisher's Association. She runs courses both in the media and public relations industry as well as in the corporate field, tailoring courses to meet the client's needs. Her corporate clients include Unilever, MTN, Telkom and DBSA, Munich Re, Anglo Gold Ashanti, Absa and FNB. She is also a trainer for 702 Talk Radio as well as CNBC Africa.
Her book ‘Surviving the SA Media – Building Bridges To Make The Media More Accessible’ (Knowledge Resources) is now available through Knowledge Resources and all good bookstores.
She is also a judge of the three top media awards in the country: PICA Awards, Admag Awards and the National Press Club Journalist of the Year.
